When the 4th Beast arises out of the Great Sea, [Daniel 7:2, 7-8 and 19-21, 23-25] out of which a series of 8 Northern Kings will rule, there will be a series of Battles between the Northern King [in Assyria] and the King of the South [in Egypt].
The 4th Beast is not Rome. The 4th Beast is not in Europe. The 4th Beast rises out of the area of the Middle East [The Great Sea]. From King number [1] until the final King [Antichrist], King number [8], there is no intermittent break of 1000's of years. It is one narrative. Its one straight time line. The rise of the 4th Beast [that is still to come], this is not the revival of Rome as many think, and as many have been falsely lead to believe. This 4th Beast is something completely different, and so different that the world has not seen anything like it before.
We don’t know when the end time will begin, for we do not know the chronology of the Beast. The Antichrist, who is also known as the King of Babylon and the King of the North [King number 11] will make a covenant “firm” [with King of the South and many] for 7 years.
Towards the "midway" point into the last 7 year Tribulation period, he [Antichrist] will then enter the temple [in Jerusalem] and desecrate it. This is the abomination that causes desolation being set up, and from this point the "Great Tribulation" begins. It will be of brief duration only [3.5 years]. This will be the sign of the End.
There will be a series of 7 Kingdoms that will rule in this area [Assyria/Turkey/Medo Persia] that will come out of the wild Beast. There are 10 Kings. Antichrist is the 8th in the line of the 7 Kingdoms, and he is the 11th in a line of the 10 Kings. Antichrist becomes the thing he comes out of when 10 Kings belonging to his Alliance hand their power over to him to rule.
From King number 6 [Daniel 11:7] the “tensions”, “pushing” and the “shoving” between these two Kingdoms begin. They begin by the King of the South [Egypt] becoming very strong, and by a descendant of the King of the South’s daughter [that entered into a marriage alliance with the King of the North: Daniel 11:6-7].
From this time onward, from King of the North [number 6] until King of the North [number 8] there will be at least 8 [?] confrontations between these two end time Kings. The 8th Confrontation will be the final one.
· Daniel 11:10 (1st Confrontation)
· Daniel 11:11 (2nd Confrontation)
· Daniel 11:12 (3rd Confrontation)
· Daniel 11:13 (4th Confrontation)
· Daniel 11:14 (5th Confrontation)
· Daniel 11:15 (6TH Confrontation)
From Daniel 11:20 we have a new King [King Number 7] that lasts only a few days. Antichrist: King [Number 8] he may be one and the same King as King number 7 [Revelation 13:3-4]. King number 7 in Daniel 11:20 only lasts a "few days". [Revelation 13:3-4] tells us that one of the 7 heads of the Beast receives a fatal blow, and then is miraculously healed, and then the World follows the Beast [Antichrist] in wonderment and in awe [the world estranged from Yahweh].
Daniel 11:17 could be reference to the Confirmation of the covenant (Daniel 9:27). But, this Covenant is the “making firm”, “ratification” and “finalizing” of an already “existing”, for it is a making “firm” of a Covenant between these Two Kings [the Kings of the North and South] (consider Daniel 11:6 and Daniel 11:23). We also learn in verse 17, that a daughter [a woman] will be given to this King of the North to bring ruin to the Kingdom, and proposal he is making.
Daniel 11:18 speaks of this Northern King setting his eyes on the coast lands to attack them. This could be a reference to lands located in the immediate west. He may set his heart on attacking these lands so as to have them as a Jewel in his Empire? This attack brings him into conflict with a "commander" that probably comes out of this Coastland area of the immediate west.
Daniel 11:19 King of the North [number 6] comes to his end. We are not informed how or why?
Daniel 11:20 A new King [King number 7] appears on the scene. His term of office lasts "a few days" only (Consider Revelation 13:3-4).
From Daniel 11:21-45 we have this new King of the North who is despicable. King [number 8]. He is the Antichrist. This King has no honour conferred upon him. He seizes the Kingdom while it is in a state of peace and by means of intrigue. This evil and despicable Kings reign of terror last from verse 21 until verse 45 where he comes to his end, and when he will be crushed on the mountains of Israel prior to being grasped and thrown into the lake of fire (Ezekiel 39:4a, Isaiah 14:24-25, Revelation 19:19).
· Daniel 11:25-26 (7th Confrontation)
Though these two Kings will speak lies at the table, their hearts and minds are bent on doing evil only. Even at this crucial hour in all human and world history, the end will not come, as it is still [as scripture says] for an "appointed" time.
At this point the King of the North returns to his own land [Assyria] where he will begin to take action against the holy covenant.
· Daniel 11: 29 (speaks of an 8th Confrontation set for an “appointed” time)
The Ships of Kittim (the West) will come against the King of the North. He then returns to his own land and begins to take action against the Holy Covenant, and paying regards to those that leave it. This could be the mass exodus of those that will be lead away by the “smooth” words of this despicable person. This may be the great falling away from the faith before the Great Tribulation begins which is recoded in verse 32 of Daniel 11 and 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4, and 8b-11, Matthew 24:15-16, Daniel 11:32).
· Daniel 11:40 (8th and Final Confrontation Daniel 11:29).
These Two Kings will collide, many Nations will fall, but Ammon, Moab, and Edom escape Antichrist’s grip (Consider Daniel 7:24). Could this be the area [now located in the Jordan] to which the Remnant will flee to? [Bozrah]?
It appears [from Scripture] that Jesus Christ may pay a visit to Bozrah first before his return to Jerusalem so as to release the remnant held captive there [The Breaker of Bozrah: Isaiah 63:1-2, 34:6 and Consider Micah 2:12-13]?
As Daniel 9:27 instructs us, all these things will happen, even until a complete destruction has taken place.
The fall of Damascus in Isaiah 17 could be the prelude or catalyst for the Magog invasion? The invasion by the Prince of Rosh [Antichrist] that comes out of the North. The Prince that shall come that shall bring evil with him.
